Part Names Best Practice

I have read the documentation with regard to Players, Layouts, etc., and am still a little uncertain what the best way to proceed is. I would like the part name to be (for example) Bb Clarinet 1, not Clarinet (Bb) 1. The score seems to do this automatically, but the part does not. Can anyone suggest the best way to make this happen?

In your Page Template(s) change the token of that text frame from {@layoutname@} to {@stafflabelsfull@}. Obviously it will depend on what your Staff Labels are as to what you see.

That did it, thanks! I had to add one more step, to place the transposition before the name in the Layout options, but now it’s appearing the way I wanted it to.

An alternative is to change the layout name to whatever you want to show at the top left of parts.

What’s still missing however is the option Clarinet 1 in Bb. I’m always manually renaming a bunch of layouts.

For staff labels at least, this should already be possible:
