Hi guys. I wanted to comment on the Double or Halve Note Value functionality. I was trying to re-notate a score written in 3/8 in 3/4. Doing the whole thing (I had multiple voices), even with insert mode on, didn’t work at all, but even after I tried to do one voice at a time, it didn’t work. I fiddled around until I found out what seems to be the main issue. It’s partial ties into chords, even in the same voice. I had to first untie all those notes, then do the doubling, and then retie them. It would be nice if the whole double and halve functionality were a little bit better. I am told that in Sibelius you can do the whole thing with just one button push. Not sure if that’s true.
Indeed with partially tied chords there are some issues, when using Double Note Value.
It works with separate voices (avoiding so the ties):

I’m not sure why one would tie the half to the quarter in the Bass Clef rather than just use a dotted half for the measure whether in 3/8 or 3/4. Maybe I’m missing something?
Good point, but sometimes multiple voices in this context can look messy, plus it’s more work inputting this in different voices. So not ideal, either…
