When I copy a selection from one track/staff to another, certain formatting seems to be lost. For example consider the following two bars:
I want the first two tied quavers to be displayed as a crotchet. This can be fixed using the ‘cut notes’ tool
and the result is this:
All good so far. However, if I now copy these two bars to somewhere else, the pasted notes now look like this again:
Not so bad if it’s one bar, but for long passages with lots of ties I now have to spend an age with the ‘cut notes’ tool fixing things up.
Is there any way to preserve the formatting of what is pasted so that it looks exactly like what was copied?
