Maybe it’s crazy idea… but…

Can I select measures in dorico and paste into cubase as a midi data?

Well, for one, because Dorico doesn’t actually work with MIDI, but with a rather more multidimensional form of data representation, I assume. Dorico converts (what’s applicable) from its own data structure into MIDI events at runtime. What you can, however, is setup MIDI buses to send Dorico’s output to Cubase instead of to a VST.

It’s not currently possible, but it’s the sort of thing that we are likely to support in a future version. When you paste from Cubase it’s in the format of a MIDI file so Dorico has to do a MIDI import and then merge into the project.
