I think this question has been asked many times, but I’m having trouble finding an answer.
How do you adjust Groove Agent 5 so that when you drag a pad (pattern) into a track in the sequencer it will plays the same as when you click and hold on a pad in the Groove Agent plugin?
We all know the symptom, when trying to play back the drum pattern you just put there, it plays erratically with too many beats and some elements missing altogether. I used to be able to poke around until I found out how to make it stop doing that, but now I can’t seem to get it to work.
Is there a way to “configure” Groove Agent so that it works all the time?
I just want to simply drag and drop beats into the project and then edit from there.
Thanks for any and all help!

Hi @BassRocket!
Groove Agent has multiple midi input ports.
By default, the pads with patterns AND the pads with the drum sounds are triggered on the same midi port.
To get clean playback, without the pattern pads trying to play on top of your sequencer midi, you need to separate those inputs.
More details are described here, unfortunately there is no screenshot, please use tool tips to identify the right button.
