PDF output at 300dpi?

Just wondering why it seems like Dorico is hard-coded to output PDF’s at 150dpi, whereas 300dpi is the most common standard for photo and print.

(I’m honestly not aware that there’d be any substantial difference for this type of output, but still, I’m curious to understand, or learn if there is a hidden way to upgrade to 300dpi.)

Afaik, Dorico ignores the resolution setting when exporting vector formats (PDF and SVG).

Dorico exports whatever it possibly can as vectors and font characters, and it embeds images in PDFs at whatever resolution they were imported. Vectors and font characters are scalable, so resolution is irrelevant.

Got it, great to know. Thank you both for the information!
