Adding to this thread again—and I’m not trying to bump this conversation—I’ve discovered that when I add things like fingering on a round of corrections, the pedal lines that I’ve aligned move and I sometimes miss it if it’s out of view. It would be great to have a grouping feature the way dynamics do, or just an align feature in the settings. I realize Ped. and * are positioned with notes, almost like articulations, but, as much as possible, we have always aligned pedal that are made up of lines.
