I’m trying to compose a piece with a percussion section. When I set up the percussion kit, it looks like this:
When I go to the score it looks like this with the bass drum on top.
How do I get the score to reflect the order in the Dorico layout?

Hi @markelliotbergman, in the Edit Percussion Kit dialogue (your first screenshot), select the Grid panel (in the upper left) and there you can move the instrument/s for the grid visualisation (which is independent from the 5-line Staff visualisation and from the Single-line Instruments visualisation) as desired:
If you want to change the visualisation in your layout, go in Layout Options>Players>Percussion, and set the desired visualisation for your kit (5-Lines Staff, Grid or Single-line Instruments):
