I’m using 5 line staff for my percussion kit in Dorico 5 Pro and I’m trying to unhide percussion legends.
There is a check next to View > Signposts > Percussion Legends, but still hidden above the staff. The instrument name only appears when I click on the note head and disappears when I deselect it.

When you select a note in a percussion kit, Dorico shows you a little overlay – the same one that appears during note input when the caret is visible – to help you to orientate yourself in the kit. However, this isn’t a percussion legend that will be printed out when you print your project: for that, you need to explicitly create one via the options in Edit > Notations > Percussion.
