Percussion sound routing

I’ll post my fixed file in a few minutes (away from that computer).

Dorico issue - 1.dorico (3.5 MB)

You can delete the extra Opus I added. I just used it to note which patches you had loaded into your original.

What I did: Browse to 19” French Cymbal and clicked “Replace/All” then added the others and fixed MIDI channel/output routing. Auditioning, MIDI keyboard and playback all work.

Thank you for your help. Weirdly (and miraculously) your fix worked. I say weirdly not as a reflection on you, but because it is just a weird fix. I tested it out separately and it still worked. So a great thank you.

Strangely enough, this just happened to me with solo clarinet and solo bassoon from that library. I had to “reload” the instruments. I’m leaning towards an Eastwest bug in Opus and its support for the symphonic orchestra library. I mention it because I wanted to confirm that you weren’t going crazy

Thank you. I am really glad I’m not the only one. In fact I’ve just had another problem, but this time with my piano sounding staccatto everytime. Again, it was a weird combo of making sure all my expression maps etc were correct and reload the instrument in opus, and boom it worked.

I can confirm that I have the same issue with the EW choirs in Opus.

Practically each time I open a project with the EW Choirs I have to reload them to get sound and many times it then does not find the relevant files although all the paths are OK and all samples on my internal SSD. The only remedy I found to solve this is to right click and tab download in the background.

Worse is that the EW Choirs in Opus instance (with four Opus plugins for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) in Vienna Ensemble Pro (VEP) also makes VEP crash randomly while in a longer Dorico session.
