You are right! At first glance it looks a bit strange, but that was my instruction from the publisher.
But now I can simply display the bars again. Without affecting the other voices.

I’ve watched the new series of videos for drum notation (which are really good) and there is a workflow I did not think would work that could have solved the problem for me, without adding a version of a snare with stems up and down : Voice>Change to upstem (or downstem) voice. I’m putting this as a reminder for me
