Percussion Stem Question

I am trying to get the percussion instrument on the the third and fourth lines (from the bottom) to appear separately from the bass. However for the rest of the piece I have opted to have those instruments share the same voice as the kick drum.

How can I manually, and singularly override the entrance of a percussion instrument so that its stem either turns upward or downward?

Select the notes you want to change. Right click > Percussion > Change Voice > select the voice (in this case i believe “Up-stem Voice 1” is the one you want).
