I have a snare drum part with tremolos tied to a release eighth note on the downbeat. I am using the Tremolo with Release articulation from the Repeats dialogue. It looks correct in the score, but the playback is incorrect. In my expression map, it treats the eighth note release as part of the tremolo, instead of changing to a Natural technique at the start of the release eighth note. I guess internally Dorico still considers the tremolo + release note as a single note because they are tied together.
Is there a way to visually show a tremolo tied into an eighth note while also having the expression map trigger a Tremolo articulation followed by a Natural hit? I’d rather not do workarounds, like replacing the tie with a slur, but I will if I have to.
