Percussionist holds 2 instruments -- score layout question

Hi everybody,
I am transcribing a score with a percussion part meant for only 1 player. That player is playing sometimes orchestra bells, sometimes vibraphone – and sometimes both at the same time.

I’m trying to figure out how to make the full score look clear. I’ve named the player “percussion”, holding these 2 instruments. However, on the left margin in one of these systems pictured here, it says “perc” for both staves. Dorico will automatically indicate when a “new” instrument is playing, but I am manually adding labels “(vibes)” to the simultaneous instrument that is also playing. I’m trying to figure out how to clearly express what instrument is being played, but also indicate in the score that this is one player.

Is there anything you can see here that I could change to make things clearer? Thanks.

What if you use staff labels instead of player name?

I think I had it that way originally. Is that good enough? I wonder if should try to indicate that it’s a single percussion player in some way?

You could use a group, but the group label doesn’t work very well when there’s only a single staff. Personally, I think it’s fine without.

You could have the Layout name like this perhaps.

You could use something like this at the inner title page of the score.

I know I have more editing to do here, but is this kind of the best way for the percussion part to look in this case — instrument labels for each staff – but do I also need instrument labels before the entrances of the instrument? I think Dorico is putting “Orchestra Bells” for instance in a box before the instrument entrance. Is that too much?

A tad too much, perhaps, when there are two staves.

If there were more than two staves, and perhaps not always the same ones, I would keep them. But if it’s only two, and always Glock and Vibes, probably ditch them. But keep them when there’s only one staff.
