I remember when I was about 6 or 7 my Dad woke we up and we
set up shop on top of the garage. I had no idea what we were doing.
Then it started and I couldn’t believe my eyes. So many, so fast.
That was a magical moment when I realized how small we must be in this
Universe.
This year the Weather and the Moon are presenting problems for viewing.
I might venture out later just to take a look anyhow.

With the news being flooded by the suicide of Robin Williams, and what’s going on with the fanatically insane terrorists murdering thousands of innocent people in the east, I haven’t heard anything about meteors lately, thanks for that!
The greatest meteor shower I’ve ever seen was in high school, or was it just after? Anyway somewhere around 1979-ish we saw the most incredible meteor shower on a perfectly clear black night sky. I’ve never seen anything even near that spectacular ever since.
