Perseid Meteor Shower any good views?

Aloha guys,

Since we forums members are from all over this planet, I am wondering if anybody
is getting any good views of this occurrence.

Been watching from here without much luck the past couple of nights.
Was hoping it might be a bit inspiring.

Anyone got any good looks?

TIA (thanks in advance)

I remember when I was about 6 or 7 my Dad woke we up and we
set up shop on top of the garage. I had no idea what we were doing.
Then it started and I couldn’t believe my eyes. So many, so fast.
That was a magical moment when I realized how small we must be in this
Universe.

This year the Weather and the Moon are presenting problems for viewing.
I might venture out later just to take a look anyhow.
I’m in the Midwest of the U.S. of A.

Rain here, so no joy.

Overcast in Chicago. :frowning:

With the news being flooded by the suicide of Robin Williams, and what’s going on with the fanatically insane terrorists murdering thousands of innocent people in the east, I haven’t heard anything about meteors lately, thanks for that!

The greatest meteor shower I’ve ever seen was in high school, or was it just after? Anyway somewhere around 1979-ish we saw the most incredible meteor shower on a perfectly clear black night sky. I’ve never seen anything even near that spectacular ever since.

just had a good view of a full moon in the shower, over the street. well someone had to do it :unamused: soz
