At yesterday’s Cubase hangout session, Greg was demoing how to change playback speed of a file (speed it up) and hinted there was a much better way to do this in WaveLab. Unfortunately that didn’t quite work out…

Start at 21:00 - keep watching, see what happens when he trys it in WL… weird. Not at my machine to try it myself…

As I can see, he has the Encoder Checker in the Master Section, and this plugin is “extremely special” because it encodes and decodes eg. mp3 in real time, and this needs huge latency. I think this is not really compatible time to the real time playback of WaveLab.
I can imagine this is the problem seen on the video.
Independently from the Encoder Checker, there are other high latency plugins inserted. Not so good either when using the real time streching.
