hey guys i was wondering if theres a way to stereo match to another song. similar to how EQ matching works but instead to the stereo field.
what I currently do is use MFreeformEQ and check the reference tracks stereo / mono % ratio, for example the below shows that the reference track [skrillex - bangarang] is 39% in stereo information and hence 61% in mono. then on my actual track i go to the master bus and put Cubase “Imager” and put the “width” knob to 0 in the sub 90hz and adjust the other bands so that the correlation meters (0 to +1) read almost the same. is this the correct way to do it?
Also , whats the best way to check if a song is in phase? ive been using auto align 2 to phase align my printed drum tracks & correlation meters to check to a reference track. not sure if im doing things correctly. and then “supervision” with the multi correlation meter on it.
