Hi everyone,
Is it possible to customize the text displayed by default for piano pedals?
For example:
Ped. → P
u.c. → Ic
t.c. → IIIc
Sost. → T
FWIK, the only workaround is editing the default glyphs in Library > Music Symbols, isn’t it?

Best,
You could set the Engraving options>Pedal lines>Design… to ‘text’. Then use the Pedal lines text property to set whatever text you want (it could be different for each instance if you want)
Thank you @Janus !
I know that, but this requires manually editing every pedal symbol in Engrave mode.
Since pedal texts can be written in different ways, it would be very useful to have an option in the Pedal preferences to customize the displayed text.
Best,
No. You can change the text in Write mode properties.
Further you could do a select all, then filter>pedal lines and change the text once for all of them.
Yes, but the same argument applies to virtually every notation mark, yet people frequently complain here that Dorico is already too complicated because of the sheer number of things you can change…
Thank you @Janus
