Piano Roll Mouse Crosshairs

Don’t know why there isn’t any mouse rulers in cubase.
But Windows PowerToys has a mouse crosshair. You can give it a hotkey and customize its appearance.

In this example I wanted to line up my new note the same as my previous G note, that was afar off. (The sword is my mouse cursor) So it’s so much easier with that crosshair.

Now you can line up your mouse cursor with the piano bed, with other events, and more easily follow your eye up vertically to see where your mouse cursor is at the timeline.

But cubase consumes hotkeys so the hotkey only works when you make cubase lose focus (with HID devices), which is frikkin INFURIATING. (EDIT: I’ve moved the hotkey to my macro keyboard and cubase accepts those keystrokes so it solved that, but it’s still annoying)

But anyway, mouse crosshairs are a win win.
Power Toys!

There’s a crosshair in the settings. so nvm

Hi,

Apart from what ASUNDER said… Here, you can always find the exact mouse position:

And also on the Virtual Keyboard (on the left side), you can see a white marker, which MIDI Note is the mouse over.
