I have a pick up measure as attached which I don’t know how to enter it 4/4,? is this count for 2.5 beat Please you help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is 2.5 beats. Click on the first bar and press Shift-M, then type 4/4,2.5 and press Enter.
Notice there is no space between the numbers and make sure the comma and dot are correct.
