Pickup beat and measures per system

Is there a way to get Dorico to ignore a pickup beat when setting four measures per system?

I’m afraid not at the moment, brianapp, but it’s definitely something we plan to improve in future.

You could use a system break at the beginning of the new system and one after the amount of bars you want in that system.
In engrave mode you then can set „wait for next system break“ property of the first system break.
The rest of the score should follow the layout options.
This works only in Pro
