Is there a way to “pin” a miid input keyboard to only the keyboard/piano part regardless of where else I may want to click to enter some notes? I often just want to work on horn parts via the piano sound, but continue to click and enter notes on the horn staffs as I go.
Many people (I, on occasion, being one of them) turn off MIDI through and use an external piano VST for these situations.
But no, there’s no way to “pin” MIDI input to a particular staff that doesn’t have focus.
