Pitch annotation

Which of Dorico 3’s text functions would users recommend, please, to annotate/indicate pitches (as used in Serial composition) for teaching purposes - ideally as close to the notes on the staff as possible?

I can see the advantages of Comments and Text. But wonder if there’s a best practice which would allow the most customization/templating and could be made to disappear before Engraving/Printing.

TIA!

Using lyrics might be a decent approach, as they’re easy to filter and subsequently delete.

Thanks, Daniel; that’s a great idea - and one which hadn’t occurred to me.

Do they always reliably align vertically with notes?

Presumably in the case of two pitches in one chord I could use two ‘verses’/‘stanzas’ of a Lyric?!

Yes, exactly.

Thanks as always, Daniel!
