I’ve put a pizzicato marking over my strings in my score but it is still playing arco. I am using the default playback template and have not messed with it at all. How do I get the pizzicato to work?
Which version of Dorico are you using? SE, Elements or Pro? And are your strings solo or Section?
Elements and Solo.
For solo pizz you need Halion Symphony Orchestra (HSO), which only ships with Pro.
You can use Section pizz from Iconica Sketch, but there is no pizz available in Halion Sonic SE (HSSE).
Frustrating? Yes.
If you want to stick with Elements, you might like to acquire NotePerformer.
