Placing "pedal ad lib" below the grand staff

I don’t why this shouldn’t be easy (it is in Finale). After spending a great deal of time trying to get an answer the help screens, youtube, etc, I’m now asking the Forum How do I write “pedal ad lib” below the grand staff? Thanks for your help.

Select something in the bottom staff. Type Shift+X to enter Staff Text; format as desired. Hit Esc to exit text entry mode. Type F to flip the text to below the staff.

In Dorico 6, if this is something you do often, you can also define a custom paragraph style that looks the way you want and also auto-positions below the staff.
