Sorry I’m not sure what you mean, under file > export there is flows, midi, audio, music XML… but anyway I thought I would create a new flow and export that, it’s is a section of the whole piece in which the music suddenly goes quite and having copied and pasted it into a the new flow it no longer went quiet… I tried, as an experiment, copying the music from the new flow, with no problem, back into the old flow and the problem returned…
So I don’t know how to show you this problem…
The original score is a dorico file. No export needed. Or make a copy with File->Save As…, and remove stuff from that if you want.

So I made a copy with “Save As” and the problem ( 3-4 bars suddenly quiet )was there.
I removed the bars in front so as just to give you the problem bit and the problem disappeared.
I copied it into a new flow up to and including problem bar and the problem disappeared, great I thought and copied the rest of the piece, the problem re-appeared.
Crazy making stuff!
The following day - I am embarrassed to realise that I have not upgraded to the most recent version of Dorico and wonder if that will help. So I upgrade and now have no sound at all. I found another thread on the forum where others’ who upgraded to 6.2 also have no sound, I followed all the suggestions ( clear audio engine cache, reset audio engine data, apply playback template, turn Dorico and computer off and on ) still no sound.
I notice on the Instrument panel that presents when you click on E - edit under Halion Sonic in play mode, there is neither sound or change in the levels when I click on the piano keys.
This is a different problem to yesterday ! but if anyone had any thoughts I’d be really grateful. I joined the other threads’ conversation as well.

For those following this thread I just thought I’d post that both issues have been solved which is great:
- Bars suddenly going quiet in playback
This was resolved by disabling the “automatic polyphonic instrument voice balancing”
It was thought it wasn’t able to ascertain which voice had the melody in those bars so it treated all voices as accompaniment
- No sound after upgrading to 6.2
I tried the following:
- empty VST cache
- re apply playback template
- turning off and then on Dorico and the computer
This did not work for me although it had helped others.
My problem was that the output ports were turned off so I turned them on in Device Set Up.
