Playback issue Dorico 4 Pro Halion Sonic: some audio files are missing

Playback was fine a few days ago but now I am getting an error message saying that some audio files are missing (Halion). I’ve tried re-installing everything and still no joy.

Dorico does not recognize any sound file with you anymore, except for the impulse responses for REVerence.
If it did before and now suddenly not anymore, then I wonder what you did in order to srew up the contents installation.
Did you move files manually around?
I would try to reinstall the contents packs one more time.

Nothing moved, etc. The ‘files missing’ warning just started appearing which prompted me to try using the download assistant. I will try to reinstall again. Files load up and I can edit as normal, but bo sound.

When I start my computer, I get audio with Youtube etc., but once Dorico is launched, I get no audio for anything.

Yes, let me know how the reinstallation went.

And if you don’t get any sound at all, try switching on the Metronome, because that should always produce sound during playback.

That suggests you have “take exclusive control” checked on your Dorico Audio Driver.
(That would not, however, explain the lack of audio within Dorico.)

Yes, now unchecked. Just need to work out why Dorico won’t play back any more.

Another set of diagnostics may be helpful in allowing us to diagnose what might now be going on.

Having reinstalled the audio elements twive, the problem has beed resolved. Mdny thanks.
