Hi,
Recently my playback levels after recording have gone very quiet. all levevs seem ok when recording but playback is half the loudness of my input. even trying to record a second track is very difficult as my guitar is far too loud when trying to play with my original track.
could i have accidently changed a setting somewhere. i an not using any effects

Please list your computer, hardware and software specs…
Some thoughts/questions…
Have you made any changes or installed OS updates recently?
Are meters showing the low volume or you just hearing a lower volume?
Checked all monitor/headphone/mic/whatever else in the chain connections?
An audio interface control panel not loading (maybe at startup)?
Is this project specific?
Have you looked at track automation that might be activated?

sorry i have not replied earlier but my internet has been down for weeks (unfortunately we have to endure these issues in Australia).
I went through your check list and remembered i had tried to install the latest cubase update and it failed for some reason. So I downloaded and updated successfuly and now all levels seem good again. Thanks for your advice I dont think i would have worked this out without you.
