Playback noise after applying Chorus automation

Hello.

I get this noise only when I apply a Chorus automation to my track:

I work with a Focusrite 2i2 Scarlett with 1024 selected as the buffer size. I thought it was just a playback problem, but the audio ends exported with that horrible sound.

It sounds like the typical sound you get when you are losing audio information (RAM or CPU problems). What could be going on there?

Thank you.

Hi,

Try to increase the Buffer Size of your Audio Device, please. As you are using Focusrite, you have to restart Cubase after.

Hello.

That doesn’t seem to be the problem. The highest buffer size available for my PC is 1024:

Hi,

Do you get the noise on an exported file too, or is it just in playback?

In both: when I playback into Cubase and after exporting the final file.

It just gets bugged in that certain point. I tried deleting the previous Chorus and creating a new insert, but it keeps happening.

UPDATE: I have inserted my audio into a new project and it doesn’t happen. That shouldn’t happen in my previous project, though. Why could it be bugged?

Try resetting your Chorus plugin settings, check automation curves, and rebuild the track’s effects chain. If that doesn’t work, copy the audio to a new track and re-apply effects.

Hope you get it sorted!
