First off, I am new to Dorico and this is my first attempt (Finale refugee). I am having an issue with one part only on a large ensemble jazz arrangement. The lead trumpet part is not playing back, and seems to be intermittent. I accidentally deleted all the sounds at one point and had to put them back manually. I was attempting to access the Garritin sounds and realized I may not have those in my library. All of the sounds except for my lead trumpet are working fine. In the mixer window the levels are dead and in piano roll mode the notes do not appear. When I access the HALion Sonic panel I have GM57 Trumpet selected and it plays just fine, levels go up and down. Then when I play the arrangement there is nothing playing on that part. It does seem to happen intermittently. I am at my wits end trying to troubleshoot, between the blog, the forum, youtube videos and Facebook.
Welcome to the forum @jazzape61 .
Could you maybe post your project file? Before doing so, you could reduce your score to only a few bars and tracks. Thanks
Can you tell me how to do this?
You can make a reduced version of your project by making a copy of the file and then editing the copy to delete all extraneous material (leaving just a few bars and tracks in this case, as Ulf suggests).
Then you can upload this file to the forum by dragging it into the message edit box, or by clicking the upload button in the message box toolbar.
