I am use to using hardware sequencers such as the sequencer on a Yamaha Motif keyboard, an Akai MPC 2500, or an Akai MPC Live drum machine. I usually can play an audio file on iTunes or my iPhone and hit the play button on the hardware sequencer and it will play immediately with no delay. I usually do this to try match the tempo by starting the playback on the down beat with a set tempo on the sequencer. The process is repeated by adjusting the tempo setting on the hardware sequencer until I get a good match.
When I hit the space bar on my laptop with Cubase Elements 10.5, there is a small delay that is too long to start the sequence on the downbeat when I try to match the Tempo. Can this be fixed or is there a work around? Thanks for any comments or solutions.
