Playback stops when moving to another application

Hi
On iMAC, Cubase 5 essential
Playback of tracks are fine when focus is on Cubase. When I move to another application: it stops. When I focus again on Cubase, it starts again.
Any clue how to fix this so that it plays back even if cubase does not have the focus?
