playback stops

Hi,
I’m using Cubase Le4 and when I work with the program it very often stops/freezes for more or less 2 or 3 seconds during playback (and also during recording) and then playback continues. VST performance meter doesn’t show any overload.

I’m working on Windows XP
Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz, 1,00 GB RAM,
Zoom G2.1u as an audio interface (guitar effect processor)

I would appreciate any help.

Quiet often it’s a symptom of a struggling hard drive.

Make sure its defragged and you have plenty space on it.

You could also do with another gig of RAM
