I selected the “Film Orchestra” template for a new project.
Using “Iconica Sketch, HSO, HALion Sonic Sel, Olympus, GASE” playback template
Some of the routing goes wrong.
For example, Trombone 2 plays back a triangle.
Modulation (CC1) of Violas adjusts the Yamaha S90ES Piano’s Modulation instead.
Note that full HALion is loading instead of HALion Sonic.
Is my approach wrong or is it a Dorico issue? Thanks

I cannot confirm this behaviour. (And also: the Yamaha uses the Default expression map, which uses only the velocity for Dynamics, and no CC…). Can you show an example of this happening? (maybe with a short video rescording)
You can set in Preferences > Play which Halion plugin will be used. After changing this, reapply your Playback Template (which should solve other issues too):
(Possibly uploading your Dorico diagnostics, would help the Team to see what is going on)
