Playback template issues

I have Dorico Pro 5.10.50 and I am trying to apply a playback template. This is a template for Straight Ahead Samples Atomic Big Band package. I have the library installed in Kontakt 7.10.6 full version. When I attempt to apply the Atomic Big Band playback template, 2 of the 3 instruments appear with double exclamation points surrounding them in the Play interface and the instruments (one is Kontakt based and the other is Groove Agent SE) will not open. I can successfully add these individually without using the template. This occurs on new projects as well as existing projects.

This is what I see when I apply the playback template.

I have a support request open with Straight Ahead Samples, also, but thought I would try here as well in case somebody has any thoughts.

I have been using Dorico for about a year, but I am new to the playback power of Dorico. Coming from a DAW background doing a lot of mockups, I am impressed by Dorico’s capabilities here so far.

Thanks
Scott

One more thing to add, when I look at the Endpoint Setup, all looks good. I have not made any modifications from the original template.

Welcome to the forum!

What do you get when you click on the crooked ‘e’ next to Endpoint configuration cog? I’ll assume Kontakt can’t be found. Perhaps it was blacklisted?

Try Help → Create Diagnostic Report and post here. The Dorico team should be able to help if it doesn’t become obvious in the meantime.

Given that he said he can load the instruments manually, I would think Kontakt is not blacklisted.

Got it figured out. I was loading the playback template in Dorico for Atomic Big Band, however, I did not select the Dorico Playback Template multi in Kontakt. Once I did that and applied to correct expression maps, everything lit up and started working.

Thanks for the great comments, I always learn a bunch of great stuff reading through forum comments here.
