Playback while entering notes

I always use a MIDI-keyboard for inputting notes and most of the time “Pitch Before duration”.

I like that you can “play the keyboard” and hear the notes without anything being entered before you press a number key.

But is there a way to disable the sound when you press the number key? If I want to enter the first 3 notes of “May had a little lamb” (E D C), I would hear each note twice: 1) when I press the midi-key and 2) when I press the duration number key. I would prefer only to hear the sound when I press Midi-keys…

That’s what you should get if you deactivate this option in Preferences:

But you also won’t get any sound when you select a note. I don’t know if it’s possible to separate these settings.
