In a project with two players; piano and voice, I imported a flow from another project, which has the same number of players; piano and voice. The pop-up asks me whether I want to merge players, and I click yes. But my score now looks a bit messy and when I check in setup, I see three players; piano, voice and voice. Piano is connected to both flows, but voice from flow 1 did not merge with voice in flow 2.
I tried to find the solution in the Dorico help, but I can’t find a way to merge the players after importing.
What am I missing?
Kino, this happens, when Dorico is not 100 sure, that it is actually the same player/instrument. That can be something specific in the source file, may be a tiny naming difference, a transposition, an instrument definition or other things. Dorico decides very conservatively in these cases, so not to merge, instead creating another player. Go to setup and make sure both players are connected to that new flow, move the music from one player to the other and then delete the extra one (make sure to choose the right one)
