Playing instruction at line breaks

Is it possible for Dorico to automatically repeat a playing instruction at line breaks, like in this example with “cresc.” and then put it in parentheses?

I know some orchestrators who discourage (long) continuation lines as confusing for such things, preferring a sempre cresc. indication instead. YMMV

Yes, thank you very much.the main point is the automatic repetition on a new page.I really have to rebuild the score like in the original, which I posted in attachment, it was very easy to put such a text in finale, but I don’t manage to find Such a function in Dorico. Perhaps it is already planned and scheduled. Does anybody know anything about it? Kind regards!

My suspicion is that in Finale such system breaks (or more properly adding the renewal text to them) were always manual, whereas Dorico’s desire to do such things automatically complicates the process.

Admittedly though, were Dorico able to develop a routine for this, it would have wonderful ramifications, as it could likely be used to restate the original notation at the start of each system for stretches of measures filled with measure-repeat symbols.

I doubt that this is really high on the developers’ wish-list at present though.

Is this what you’re looking for?

Select the crescendo and set the property Gradual style to cresc…. and Continuation line style to Dashed. In Library > Line Annotations, change the Category to Text and create a new annotation with Name and Text set to (cresc.) and Font style set to Dynamic Text Font. In Library > Lines, create a new horizontal line with Body style set to Dashed line body (short) and Continuation cap set to (cresc.). Add this line to the staff over the span of the crescendo and align each line segment with the existing crescendo dashes in engrave mode. Finally, select the crescendo and set the property Gradual style to cresc./dim.
