Still problems with routing…
Seemingly noone has the need to play VST sounds with his keyboard. So I couldn’t find any explanations. But as a player, I want to play … rarely record or draw.
Task: I have wonderfull sounds in my DAW/VSTs. I would like to play those sounds with my keyboard. In the way, that I use my splits/parts like I use to do. In other words: my split/part 1 should play the chords(VST sound), my split/part 2 the lead(VST sound) a.s.o…
At the moment I make instrument tracks with VST (mostly Vital) and can play those sounds, but only one at a time. If I am really interested, I sample, and import them into my synth. Lots of work.
There is no problem connecting my keyboard, assigning USB channels to the splits/parts, recording in the DAW, even multiple tracks. But this is the way to bring the integrated sounds of my synth into the DAW. MIDI or audio.
Other way round? Trigger specific DAW sounds with according splits?
Update to Cubase Artist or Pro, where you can use Input Transformer to set the Split note for every single track.
Our update to Cubase AI 13, where you can set MIDI Input Channel. Then you can split your master keyboard to send the data at MIDI Channel 1 for the chords and MIDI Channel 2 for the melody.
Confirmed
But the video, that confirmed it, showed another solution: “Polysher” VST. Free and functions very well. And if one knows the right searching words, one can find many of such VSTs.
output of Polysher goes to instrumental track (sound)
all Polysher tracks marked, you can play
You can make many instances, in which you can create every possible split and - seemingly the advantage - transpose.
Only the first step for me, because I have to figure out first, how to control things like I do on my workstation. I play “single entertainer”-like … cme from organs.
