Ple : select the marker track after it's creation

Hello, I would like to insert a position marker at cursor position, then immediately have it selected, in order to apply a prebuilt name for it

Can’t find a ple to select a marker “under cursor”, I only see beyond and before cursor

Hi,

You can make a Macro:

  • Marker > Add Position Marker on Active Track.
  • Edit > Select Event under Cursor

hi martin, wouldn’t that have the side effect of selecting also any midi event that happen to be under cursor ?

Only the events of the currently selected track become selected under the cursor.

so the macro isn’t working when the marker track isn’t the main focus track, if I am focusing on an instrument track, live playing some midi, I would like to press a button and have a marker track added to the cursor position and be renamed automatically

since “select event under cursor” can’t selected the newly added marker when another track is selected, the macro can’t finish

is there a workaround ?

I believe you can use a PLE preset in your macro that selects the Marker Track.
