PLEASE - ADVICE ON LOW CPU/AUDIO USAGE VST INSTRUMENTS

Hello fellow Cubasers …

I have just bought a new but very basic PC … 8GBram and AMD9 dual core

Ive installed Cubase Elements 10 and lots of VST instruments

When I go to use these instruments, such as NI massive or Arturia analog lab, one instrument will use a quarter to a third of my computers coping ability (as shows in the little audio processing level)

A track with 5 such instruments is about my computers limit

SO I will have to find VSTs with much lower strain on my system. Waldorfs Largo is installed and fares much better … I can get 15 Largos running fine

Could anyone please recommend free / inexpensive VST instruments I could get hold of which will use very little system resources? One I had in mind was sylenth1? Any suggestions at all would be great. (I do know that this version 10 of Cubase only allows for 64bit instruments, so that rules some out from the start)

AND FINALLY … would downgrading my pc setup to Cubase elements 8, which I previously ran, help at all with things? I know it would run 32 bit vsts and perhaps it would run faster and cope better?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE,

Samuel (Remember White)

ALSO … would upping my ram from 8 to 16 GB help at all?
