Please Allow NOTE On AND Off on midi remote

Because of all the lackings in the mid remote, please add note on/off as choices in object properties for remote

Here is a simple example
I want 4 buttons on my control surface to expand mix racks

  1. Input
  2. Insert FX
  3. Sends
  4. Direct Routing

Because these commands are modal, even in legacy remote, you have to activate the mix console first

So
The note on is handled by Bome and activates the mix window
Then on note off I need the actual expansion of the desired rack as well as jumping back to the last active window

Unless Im missing something here

I think the Note message can already be selected.

So do I understand correctly that additionally only Note On and only Note Off should be selectable?

In many control surface management schemes, eg Live, both the note on and off are used so that an action based on the release can be triggered.
So the drop down should denote a note off which is of course a different midi event
Tbh honest, the msg assignment dialog could also then use holds, double clicks etc which are sadly lacking./unthought of and are essential to sophisticated yet simplified gesturing but i currently use bome but as separate midi addresses

I do hardware surface control scripts for an OEM midi mfg in China…im burnt out and def feel like vomiting at the thought of having to do cubase api in java to get stuff going
