GA6-created patterns in Cubase should also be displayed as patterns and vise versa, otherwise I don’t know what that’s supposed to be, suddenly the view as a key or drum track… that’s typically illogical for Cubase!
In Cubase, patterns created in Groove Agent (or GA6) are displayed in the Project window as standard MIDI parts or linear notes by default once they are dragged onto the track. Direct visualization as a native Cubase pattern event (like that found in the built-in pattern editor of newer Cubase versions) is not natively supported for external plug-in patterns, as Cubase converts this data into MIDI notes.
Alternatives and Workarounds
Drag & Drop as MIDI: Drag and drop the pattern directly from the Groove Agent interface onto an instrument track to edit it as a classic MIDI part.
Using the native pattern event: Use the integrated pattern editor or Cubase’s drum/pattern tracks if you need a native pattern view on the timeline.
