Please help with account issues.

Please provide the address of the support department regarding account issues on the Cubase support homepage.
Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum.

What problem do you have on the Support pages? If you can not login you can click on the link to reset your password.

The problem is I don’t remember which Gmail account I used to register.

It should be the same you are using here for the Forum.

Depending on how many Gmail accounts you have you can try the password reset for all of them and if the account is known you will receive an email for the reset

I’m sorry, I’ve tried logging in with many accounts but it didn’t work. I’m currently trying to recover my account to upgrade from Cubase 9 to Cubase 15 Pro.

So you are using the eLicenser Control Center and, as far as I remember, the eLCC has a mail address set, that was needed to contact the eLicenser servers. These servers are shutdown, but the eLCC should still have the correct mail address.

If that doesn’t help you need to lookup the support for your country or region.

I still have the USB eLicense key, but when I click on “Register at MySteinberg,” it doesn’t recognize any registered email addresses.

There is no longer a capability to register an elicenser dongle. That capability ended when the server service shut down.

As the server is now gone, there is no reason to register the dongle as it either works (the dongle) or doesn’t going forward.

What were you hoping to accomplish by registering the dongle?

I’m looking to upgrade from Cubase 9 Pro to Cubase 15 Pro.

Of course not, because the eLicenser Server is shutdown.

I just had a look at my old eLicenser, but I can’t see the mail address in it. So you need to find the contact for your country via the link I provided earlier.

I’m looking to upgrade from Cubase 9 Pro to Cubase 15 Pro. Are there any solutions available now?

You can buy the update on the Steinberg Website directly, the Online Shop doesn’t need the Steinberg Mail address. There you can use any address.

However, you need it later when you want to use the Download Access Code, because it will check your Steinberg profile for the old Cubase 9 license.

Does that mean I need to keep the serial number on the USB eLicense card so that when I upgrade to Cubase 15, the manufacturer will require that number?

You can find all information here

Thank you for your help.

Whatever year that you originally bought Cubase 9 new (and registered Cubase 9 software at that time) is what Steinberg looks at in regards to letting you buy Cubase 15 at the discounted upgrade price. The dongle isn’t part of that equation.

What year did you buy Cubase 9 new? Are you able to log into your sb account to view history of your purchased products?

For clarity….The capability to register your elicenser to your account is still there and is a necessity in order to allow update, but it’s got to be done online in your account, not from elicenser control.

Really….the year has nothing to so with anything. If they have a 9 license they need to register their elicenser dongle in MySteinberg if it’s not already and then the update will work.

Have a look, it’s all explained in detail here (including a video tutorial):

It’s a link within the link @JuergenP posted above

In case you still can’t log into your MySteinberg account you’d have to contact Steinberg support.

I only remember buying it in 2018 and registering it with a Gmail account (dangtruc…@gmail.com). I can’t remember the exact number of characters I set for that Gmail address now.
