This will help to avoid confusion that what you see is what you get, while a midi track is selected.
Since the selection in the Channel inspector does not follow midi track selections, it is easy to get confused and think you are modifying a setting that relates to the selected track.
Hi zooterman,
could you maybe elaborate on the described issue and add a screenshot or video showing the behaviour and routing of the tracks in question? The channel inspector should always be following the track selection and therefore also show the content of selected midi tracks.
Sorry I used the wrong wording.
I meant to say, that the Channel Inspector does not change for multi-output Instrument tracks. It is stuck on the parent (main) output track of the instrument.
This is a shame because the MixConsole does have separate tracks for each separate output, where you can treat it as a channel with inserts, EQ, etc.
Is this the behavior you have as well?
Thank you for the clarification, this is indeed a bug which has already been fixed for the next maintenance release.
