This has been annoying me from the first version of Cubase:
Some windows close with “escape”, others with “alt F4”, others with “Return”, - the audio pool closes with “cntrl p” 
Please fix this ! (I would prefer “escape”)

It depends, if it’s a modal window or not. These type of windows have different purposes and different behaviour (including the way, how to close them).
