In Cubase 14 why have you taken the edit in wavelab option out of the audio menu, this was such a cool way to edit then send the edited track back into cubase. can no longer use wavelab plugins to quickly affect the tracks, please bring this option back. The ara supported way is good but we have lost so much access to our wavelab tools, was intergrated lovely before, now its a bit of a downgraded ball ache.
Also the ara supported method is so unstable when you click to make the process permanent, its hit and miss if it will crash cubase.
Hi,
You can use WaveLab as ARA plug-in.
Hi,
Attach the *.dmp/ips file, please.
Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: %userprofile%/Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps
yes in the lower panel, but lets say i wanted to use restore rig or one of the plugins from wavelab, before cubase pro 14, i could edit in wavelab, this opens up wavelab, then do the task i needed( lets say i use restore rig to get rid of unwanted noise) then all i would have to do is use the Trigger cubase/ Nuendo Update, this is now not an option and is greyed out in Wavelab too.
When I perform “quick” edits in WL in this way and save them, Media Pool automatically updates the changes in CB14P. I use the ARA plugin for everything else, but I understand that crashes on your system - maybe the crash dump files will help the team figure that out.

Hi,
There are multiple reasons for the crashes:
- WaveShell1_VST3_10_0_x64
- WavesLib4_60_10_0_Win64
- Reason_Rack_Plugin
- TR5_Tape_Machine_440
- Cubase
- WaveLab ARA
Please, make sure, your plug-ins are up to date, same as the iLok software, if you are using it.
The Cubase and WaveLab crashes were reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
I will do, thank you.
Yay, i reinstalled wavelab 11 and bang, option to edit in wavelab reappeared, it opens up wavelab 12 which is what i wanted.
