Please register vstdx.dll again

Hi there, happy new year everyone!

I have this problem with Cubase SX3. I’ve installed the last official one, v3.1.1 downloaded from Steinberg, but I have problems opening projects with DirectX plug-ins. The message appearing is this:

DirectX Wrapper

Can’t find Filter.
Please Register VSTDX.Dll again.

How can I register or enable such Dll? Windows 10 2H22 here with everything else working fine and dandy for Cubase SX3, Cubase 5 and Cubase Pro 12&15.

You can’t. Doesn’t exist any more. Use some other dx wrapper and then re-set your dx plugins to use it instead. I use FFX-4 by vb audio on those rare times when I still want to load a dx plugin into newer Cubendos. Which is not often….but it still works last time I tried. I may have it jBridged.

I have sx3 installed on Win11 Pro but I haven’t tried ffx-4 on that specific CB version. You may or may not have to jBridge as well.
