nice addition… wish they add option to export by track channels too… i.e… mono, stereo, surround etc…
Still no pre-fader render option. Which is so weird to me. Who wants to, and why, print fader level? ![]()
Also, to lose the ability to print those last two precious post-fader slots, is tragic. Basically, for those who need to offload CPU (can’t afford to leave the last two slots un-rendered), we only have 6 inserts to work with. What decade is this?
+1 great feature request !

PLEASE!
I think Cubase needs a better Stereo to Mono conversion on tracks and on the mixer too…
Like on Logic or Protools.
what are u hearing?
We still cant set our midi tracks to a desired stereo/mono, we should be able to select?

Steinberg come on,please add this feature ASAP!
+1000
+1000 for this feature !!
not having the ability to choose mono (summed) / only L / only R / Stereo
defeats the use of it in more than 50% of the time for me
i do all my foley recording and editing in M/S
i do resampling to make wavetables in Serum / alchemy (mono needed)
BTW there should be a stereo / mono utility plugin like brainworks BX Control
included in Cubase
Also i would like to add precision on the workaround for other users
(and as a reminder for me as well) >
Create a new mono OUTPUT (not a mono bus - it doesn’t work) in “VST Connections - Output”
AND choose “complete signal path” unless you will get a stereo file.
Hearing?
Cubase 15. Tried your unrout the track (not connected). Went through the whole thing and a stereo track with nothing on at all. How would I make a dummy mono?
Well this was 12 years old advice. In recent versions I believe you can just make sure the source track is mono, and choose channel settings in the render settings.
