Is it possible to set a plugin to only one layer?
For instance: Take a song and unmix it, say with Vocals, Drums and Other.
Now I would like to set an EQ (“TDR Nova” for example) on the vocals only, while listening to all layers at once and than adjust the EQ as wished.
Than to set another plugin to another layer and so on.
Yes, all modules apply to one layer only (the selected one in the Layers panel).
While previewing the VST3 Effects module you’ll also hear the other layers, as long as they are not muted.
Then you can apply your VST3 Effect, and select another layer to preview or apply another VST3 Effect.
Can it be done simultaneously so, that for each layer the plugin can be used while playing the song?
Take for instance three different layers, call them layer1, layer2, layer3.
For layer1 there is vst3-plugin1, for layer2->vst3-plugin2 and for layer3 ->vst3-plugin3
I would like to see all 3 plugins and adjust them while playing all the layers together.
Still did not figure this out.
No, you’d rather use SpectraLayers in ARA mode if you want to do that :
-In your DAW, assign SpectraLayers to your song clip
-In SpectraLayers, apply Unmix Song
-Drag and drop all unmixed layers back to the DAW
-In the DAW, apply effects to your unmixed tracks
Ah, ok. That makes sense.
Thx Robin.
